I'm excited to share a unique adventure with you all! In just 6 weeks, in November 2023, I will be embarking on a trek across the Sahara Desert for a very special cause – to raise funds for Nugent, a registered charity dedicated to caring for, educating, and protecting vulnerable children, young people, and adults.
Nugent's impactful work spans various life-changing projects, including:
🏫 Nugent House School - a flagship educational and residential school for students with emotional behaviour and mental health needs.
🏡 Nugent’s residential services - providing secure, caring, and supported living environments for children, young people, people with disabilities, and the elderly.
🤝 Community outreach initiatives and projects like Chester Outreach support, assisting individuals in the community experiencing mental health issues.
👨👩👧👦 Supporting families through adoption.
I'm thrilled to announce that all the funds I raise will go toward building a Multigym at the Marydale Secure Children’s Home. Marydale is a secure accommodation with education for young people aged 10 up to their 18th birthday. They specialize in working with young people facing challenges like self-harm, substance misuse, child exploitation, and more. Marydale is unique as it's the only charity-owned and operated secure Children's home in the country, based in St Helens.
Currently, I've raised £2155.00, but I'm aiming high with a target to surpass £45000, ideally reaching £5,000! 🎯
