Job Description

Building Careers UK are specialist in Construction & Property recruitment and currently looking to recruit a Project Manager who has a Contracting Residential back ground for a permanent job in the North West area.

They have a number of projects to start in Q1 in Cheshire a mixture of new build homes and apartments.

As a key member within the organisation your job and role as a Project Manager is vital to growth of the organisation.

You will be expected to carry out the following duties:-

* Manage the project from inception to completion.
* Full site set up.
* Organise and oversee the construction procedures and ensure they are completed in time and within budget.
* Obtain permits and licenses.
* Plan all construction operations and schedule phases to ensure deadlines are met.
* Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
* Evaluate the programme progress and prepare detailed reports.
* Chair site meetings with the client and sub contractors.

You must have experience of:-

* Project Management experience of contracting new build residential projects.
* Can accurately identifying client's key requirements.
* Experience of working with sponsors, stakeholders and solution providers.
* Create effective, informed and highly motivated teams focused on delivery.
* A comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies and delivery.
* Assessment of project estimates to evade cost overruns and recommend cost efficiency measures without compromising on safety & quality.
* Develop and implement strategic objectives for practice that are aligned with the region's strategic initiatives.
* Cost estimating, budgeting, analysis, Cost control, Design Input for costs and Build ability.
* Ability to both lead projects and develop business through strong client relationships.
* Strong knowledge of construction methodology systems including regulating standards.
* Excellent Organisational and time management skills.
* Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
* A team player with leadership abilities.
* Good knowledge of MS Office
* An excellent Health and safety record.
* Degree qualified.

You will be highly motivated, driven with references from some of the leading contracting house builders and as such will be familiar with quality systems, safety, construction methods, high end materials etc.

SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS card are essential.
