Quantity Surveyor - New Build HousingOur client has a vacancy an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their successful and growing team. This role will be working across Lancashire and the regional office is based near Preston.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial management of various small and large housing projects. Is this something you want to aspire to? As a QS you will have experience of running one of your own projects.
You will be mentored by senior members of the team. All reporting to the Commercial Director this group of Buyers and Surveyors will deliver 10 to 15 live housing projects at any one time.
The Commercial Director will support and develop you, empowering you to run with projects under close supervision, but always on hand to discuss areas for improvement. They will give you clear objectives. You will need to learn to be adaptable and strong in your management style with a consistent approach with the site teams and subcontractors.
If this sounds appealing to you, our client will require:
Primarily a confident and a numerate professional. Someone who is self-motivated, asks questions, wants to learn and has a good work ethic.
A degree or HND qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable, and we will consider candidates who are on day release, although the salary offered will be reflective of this.
Someone who can operate and administer systems would have an advantage and training can be provided on this. The housing industry certainly has a lot to offer at the moment, its booming and our client can offer continuity of work with future projects.
