Job Description

Building Careers Uk are currently recuiting on behalf of a well established social housing contractor for a Site Manager

Main Duties

* To manage, organise and coordinate day to day site activities including managing sub-contractors.
* To work closely with clients to understand and deliver the highest standard of performance and to lead by example to create a culture of responsibility and ownership.
* Ensure the highest standard of customer excellence by taking responsibility for team performance by implementing and embedding new working practices that enhance the customer experience. Bring an overarching commercial awareness to all business activities
* Promote a service that has a focus on meeting customer expectations and ensure satisfaction is central to service delivery.
* Manage performance against objectives and take necessary action to ensure that the business area achieves all contractual obligations for all clients.
* Work with commercial team to ensure project budgets are managed in accordance with the objectives of the team
* Adapt a proactive approach to identify and mitigate risks to your projects by informing your line manager and contribute to updating the risk register.
* Keep all partners up to date at all times including client, sub-contractors, employees and management team.
* Coordinate and organise site deliveries
* Continuous monitoring of performance providing progress reports as requested by the management team and client
* Attend progress meetings presenting a report of progress to date
* Ensure projects are completed on time whilst ensuring all milestones are delivered to expected time scales throughout the duration.
* Completion of project with a 'snag free' approach
* Monitoring and assessment of Sub-Contractor performance and compliance e.g. H&S, quality, code of conduct, audits etc.
* To communicate openly and continuously with management and clients at all times
* Maintain site H&S plan ensuring it is kept up to date at all times
* Undertake weekly site audits, a minimum of one per week
* To support, mentor and development apprentices to assist succession planning
* Ensure that our Customers are at the heart of everything we do.
* Expected to ensure compliance with all legal obligations concerning the protection of data concerning employees, customers and third parties



Experience Needed

* Several years' experience managing sites especially within fit-out and refurbishment within various sectors including Education, Commercial, Health Care, Government & Retail.
* Proven experience managing small & larger value projects from set up to handover
* Computer literate and able to use programmes such as MS Project, Word & Excel
* Able to review & write RA's & MS's
* Able to work with CPHSP's, update and maintain throughout projects



Qualification Needed

* NVQ4/HNC/ONC Equivalent
* 5 day SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS Card
* Scaffold Inspection
* PASMA, MUPE or other
