Debbie King

Debbie is an experienced recruitment professional, responsible for the strategy, vision and growth of the social housing recruitment business at Building Careers. She, like Mark Harris and Tamsin Marlowe, learned her craft at global recruitment specialists, Hays before moving to a  market leading recruitment business specialising in construction, housing and property.

Debbie is a relationships expert with clients across the region including HMS. She has some of the key decision makers in the social housing sector in her strong community network. Debbie operates at the highest levels in the sector and has become a well-known voice in the industry on social housing matters.

She manages a team of consultants who supply candidates to social housing providers and contractors, including property services, housing management, surveying, maintenance, refurbishment and new build.

Outside of recruitment, she is a huge participant in social value after having trekked the Sahara Desert for children’s charity, Nugent, Debbie is also a volunteer to the Board of Trustees for Emmaus Merseyside, an award-winning charity that provides a home, as well as education, training and work to people who have experienced homelessness.
