Procurement Assistant

My client are a specialist roofing and cladding contractor supplying and installing a wide range of roofing and cladding systems across the UK. They work on student accommodation, high-rise developments, industrial, education, healthcare, and leisure projects across the country.

They are seeking a Procurement Assistant who can demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills to join their team.

As a Procurement Assistant, your role will include:

* Assist in identifying potential suppliers for materials, equipment, and services required for projects.
* Coordinate the purchasing process, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.
* Assist in negotiating prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and pricing for the company.
* Monitor inventory levels and ensure that necessary materials are always available for ongoing projects. This may involve forecasting demand and coordinating with project managers.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and correspondence with suppliers. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
* Assist in controlling procurement costs by identifying cost-saving opportunities, monitoring expenses, and seeking alternative suppliers or materials when necessary.

Salary and benefits:

* Competitive remuneration and benefits package of up to £30,000.
