Are you a driven and experienced Design Manager with a background in building envelope solutions? We're seeking a talented professional to lead the design process on roofing and cladding packages, helping deliver high-quality facades and external envelope systems across a range of commercial developments.

About the Role

In this role, you'll take ownership of the design coordination and detailing for a variety of roofing and cladding systems-including rainscreen facades, architectural metalwork, and high-performance flat and pitched roofing. You'll work collaboratively with architects, main contractors, and specialist subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery and exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design process for roofing and façade systems

Coordinate detailed designs with architects, engineers, and site teams
*

Oversee the integration of rainscreen cladding, insulation, support systems, and architectural finishes
*

Ensure technical compliance with UK building regulations and project specifications
*

Drive buildability and value-engineering solutions in the pre-construction phase
*

Liaise with suppliers to incorporate proprietary systems and technical submissions
*

Attend site and design coordination meetings as needed

What We're Looking For

*

Proven experience managing the design of complex façade and roofing systems
*

Strong understanding of rainscreen cladding, ACM panels, metal cassettes, and flat/pitched roofing assemblies
*

Familiarity with facade support structures, fire strategy, and drainage detailing
*

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant design software
*

Clear communicator with strong coordination and technical reporting skills
*

Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
