Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Pipefitter for a temporary position on a school project in St Helens, starting Monday. The role involves the installation and assembly of screwed steel pipework, including cutting, threading, and fitting to specification.



Key Responsibilities:

* Install and assemble steel pipework using appropriate hand tools and threading machines
* Work with screwed fittings, ensuring accurate alignment and secure installation
* Interpret and work from technical drawings and site plans
* Adhere to health and safety regulations on a live school environment
* Collaborate with other trades and site supervisors to ensure smooth workflow
* Deliver high-quality workmanship in line with current regulations and project standards



Requirements:

* NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or Pipefitting - essential
* Proven experience working as a pipefitter in a commercial setting
* Proficient in steel pipe installation, threading, and screwed systems
* In-depth knowledge of relevant codes and safety regulations
* Valid CSCS card
* Must have own tools and full PPE
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Details:

* Location: School site, St Helens
* Hours: Standard site hours (Mon-Fri)
* Duration: Ongoing temporary contract
* Rate: £24 per hour (CIS/Umbrella)
