Your new role
Our client is seeking a Roofing Estimator to join their team in Merseyside. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to take on a pivotal role within the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates for roofing projects, liaising with clients, suppliers and internal teams, and contributing to the successful delivery of tenders and contracts. Roofing experience is preferred, but not essential - strong estimating skills in construction with the right attitude and drive will be highly valued.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing accurate cost estimates for roofing projects across both pitched and flat systems.

Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess requirements.
*

Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
*

Preparing detailed proposals and tender submissions for clients.
*

Working closely with project managers and the wider commercial team to ensure project profitability.
*

Identifying potential risks and value engineering opportunities during the estimating process.
*

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of materials, labour rates, and industry developments.
*

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

What you will need to succeed:

Previous estimating experience within the construction sector (roofing experience desirable but not essential).

Strong numeracy, analytical, and commercial awareness skills.
*

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
*

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office packages.
*

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*

Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
*

A proactive and professional approach, with a keen eye for detail.
