Our client is a dynamic and growing construction and development business, specialising in residential refurbishment and high-value housing conversions. Your new role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major refurbishment and housing conversion project valued at £18 million in Central London. This role will provide the opportunity to work on a landmark project, taking ownership of the commercial management of the scheme from inception through to completion, ensuring budgets, costs, and risks are controlled and optimised.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
*

Managing tendering processes, procurement, and subcontractor packages.
*

Conducting value engineering exercises to maximise project profitability.
*

Measuring, preparing, and agreeing interim valuations, final accounts, and variations.
*

Liaising with design teams, clients, and contractors to resolve commercial and contractual issues.
*

Monitoring project costs and advising management on commercial implications.
*

Managing risk assessments and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
*

Reporting on project performance to senior management.
*

Supporting change management and dispute resolution processes as required.

What you will need to succeed:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential refurbishment or conversion projects.
*

Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts.
*

Experience managing large-scale projects (£15m+ preferred).
*

Excellent commercial acumen and cost management skills.
*

Strong IT skills, including MS Excel, CostX, or similar software.
*

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
*

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
*

Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS or equivalent).
