Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Manchester-based team, focusing on CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects. You will play a pivotal role in securing new work, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the wider pre-construction team to deliver competitive tenders for a variety of commercial interior projects.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing detailed cost estimates for CAT A and CAT B fit-out and refurbishment projects.
*

Analysing tender documents, specifications, and drawings to produce accurate quotations.
*

Preparing bills of quantities, schedules, and cost breakdowns.
*

Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
*

Developing value engineering solutions to optimise cost efficiency.
*

Supporting bid submissions and working closely with the Preconstruction Manager and Commercial team.
*

Attending client and site meetings where required to provide technical and commercial input.
*

Maintaining strong awareness of market trends, construction methods, and material costs.

What you will need to succeed:

Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry, ideally in CAT A and CAT B fit-out.
*

Strong understanding of commercial interiors and refurbishment projects.
*

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
*

Excellent negotiation and communication skills with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
*

A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
*

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
*

A proactive, organised, and commercially minded approach.
