Your new role
Our client is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to build their career with a successful contractor, gaining exposure to a variety of projects within a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities will include:

Assisting the commercial team with cost planning, forecasting, and reporting on multiple projects.
*

Preparing and processing subcontractor orders, payments, and variations.
*

Supporting the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
*

Assisting in the production of bills of quantities and tender documents.
*

Liaising with site teams to monitor progress and ensure accurate cost tracking.
*

Ensuring compliance with company procedures, contracts, and health andamp; safety standards.
*

Building strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

What you will need to succeed:

A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or working towards one).
*

Previous experience in an Assistant QS role, ideally within groundworks, civil engineering, or construction.
*

Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
*

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel in particular).
*

Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*

A proactive and ambitious attitude with a desire to progress in a commercial career.
