Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Warrington. This is a key opportunity to be involved in major projects valued at £10 million and above, across multiple sectors. You will take responsibility for all commercial aspects of project delivery, from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring strong financial performance and effective risk management.

Responsibilities will include:

* Overseeing all commercial functions on allocated projects, ensuring profitability and financial targets are achieved.
* Preparing cost forecasts, budgets, cash flows, and accurate financial reporting.
* Managing procurement, tendering, and subcontractor packages.
* Administering contracts, variations, and claims in accordance with NEC and JCT forms.
* Providing commercial leadership and support to project teams and senior management.
* Building strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
* Mentoring and supporting junior members of the commercial team.

What you will need to succeed:

* Demonstrable experience as a Senior QS working for a Tier 1 main contractor.
* Proven background in delivering projects across education, healthcare, industrial, and custodial sectors.
* Experience on schemes valued £10m+.
* Excellent knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), ideally chartered or working towards RICS accreditation.
