The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, professional, and commercially astute Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of projects from preconstruction handover through to final account. This role requires not only technical and organisational expertise but also excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the company in a polished, confident, and client-facing manner.

The ideal candidate will be detail-driven, highly adaptable, and commercially minded, capable of leading projects that are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a client-facing role, so being well presented and able to engage with stakeholders at all levels is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Project Performance Management:

*

Manage and report on Project Performance KPIs to the Contract Manager.
*

Provide accurate reports and documentation to track project milestones and progress.
*

Ensure delivery in line with programme, budget, and quality benchmarks.

Client and Stakeholder Management:

*

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, engineers, and third parties.
*

Build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring expectations are managed and exceeded.
*

Represent the business with professionalism and integrity, promoting its core values.

Health and Safety:

*

Take ownership of Health andamp; Safety (Handamp;S) requirements and standards.
*

Prepare Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and oversee site safety performance.
*

Support investigations and reporting of incidents where required.

Project Coordination and Design:

*

Manage the design phase, including Design Team Meetings (DTMs) and approval processes.
*

Ensure timely progression to production sign-off and accurate job pack preparation.
*

Coordinate key interfaces, ensuring alignment between all parties.

Financial Oversight:

*

Collaborate with the commercial department to manage budgets and forecasts.
*

Conduct and review Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
*

Implement cost-control strategies while safeguarding quality and programme.

Meetings and Progress Updates:

*

Lead pre-start, progress, and ad-hoc meetings with professionalism.
*

Maintain proactive communication to identify and resolve challenges early.
*

Ensure projects stay "ahead of the curve" through effective planning.

Margin Growth and Commercial Collaboration:

*

Support value engineering initiatives and margin improvement.
*

Resolve commercial variations and technical issues during installation phases.

Qualifications

*

A design, technical, or construction-based qualification (NVQ 6 or 7) preferred but not essential.

Hours and Benefits

*

Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm (early finish at 3pm on Fridays)
*

Office based with approx. 1-2 site visits per week
*

25 days holiday
*

Company bonus scheme
