Your new role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join their Manchester office. This pivotal role will see you leading the estimating function, preparing accurate and competitive tenders, and working closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams to secure and deliver profitable projects.

Responsibilities will include:

Leading the preparation of tenders for fit-out, refurbishment, and blue-light projects up to £10m.
*

Analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to produce accurate cost estimates.
*

Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
*

Assessing risks, opportunities, and value engineering options during the bid process.
*

Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries, ensuring competitive pricing.
*

Presenting tender submissions to senior management and clients.
*

Supporting handover to project delivery teams to ensure continuity.
*

Mentoring junior estimators and supporting their professional development.

What you will need to succeed:

Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within construction.
*

Strong background in fit-out, refurbishment, and blue-light projects.
*

Ability to prepare accurate cost plans and competitive tenders.
*

Excellent knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and procurement.
*

Strong negotiation and communication skills.
*

Ability to manage workload under tight deadlines and work collaboratively with colleagues.
*

Relevant qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or Estimating (degree or equivalent).
