Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a specialist in passive fire protection, is seeking a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, building safer environments while ensuring commercial excellence.

What You'll Bring:

Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a construction or commercial setting.

Solid understanding of procurement processes, tendering, contract administration, and framework agreements.
*

Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the confidence to influence stakeholders.
*

Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with both operational and project teams.
*

Excellent organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
*

Skilled in commercial reporting, cost monitoring, and financial analysis.

What Your Role Will Look Like:

Work closely with the commercial team to deliver project objectives and help drive business performance.
*

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key partners.
*

Support procurement and contract strategies, including tender preparation, sourcing, and issuing.
*

Manage contract variations, amendments, and final accounts to deliver best value.
*

Provide clear commercial insight and advice to both project and operational colleagues.
*

Oversee budgets, operating costs, and cash flow to safeguard financial targets.
*

Attend project sites, lead meetings, and brief teams to ensure projects receive robust commercial input.
*

Encourage best practices, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the client base.
*

Represent the commercial function in review meetings, reporting directly to directors.
*

Resolve contractual issues promptly and support operational teams to achieve profit improvement plans.
