Senior Estimator

Our client is a market-leading manufacturer and installer of aluminium façade systems, renowned for delivering innovative, high-performance solutions across the UK construction industry. With a diverse portfolio of high-specification façade and glazing systems, as well as multi award-winning window products, they have built a reputation for excellence, innovation, and quality.

As part of their ambitious five-year expansion plan, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in façades to join their growing commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with the drive and ambition to progress within a forward-thinking, design-led business.

About the Role

The Senior Estimator will play a key role in the tendering process, preparing accurate and competitive quotations based on client enquiries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within the window and curtain walling industry and demonstrate strong technical and commercial acumen in estimating aluminium curtain walling, windows, and door systems.

You will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional, capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for aluminium façades, curtain walling, and glazing projects.
*

Review tender documentation to assess contractual and technical requirements for compliance and inclusion.
*

Carry out detailed take-offs from drawings and specifications.
*

Liaise closely with clients, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure competitive and compliant pricing.
*

Manage multiple tender returns simultaneously, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail throughout.
*

Contribute to the development of best practices and efficiency improvements within the estimating department.

Skills and Experience Required:

*

Minimum 5 years' experience estimating within the façades sector, ideally on projects valued between £3m-£10m.
*

Strong product knowledge of aluminium curtain walling, windows, and systems such as Schüco, Aluprof, and Kawneer.
*

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and estimating software such as Logikal or SchüCal.
*

Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*

A sound understanding of tender and contractual documentation and associated compliance requirements.
*

A proactive approach and a genuine desire to develop and progress within a growing organisation.
