Assistant Estimator - roofing

Our client, a highly regarded roofing contractor with a strong reputation for quality and reliability, is looking for an Assistant Estimator to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background or interest in construction estimating who's eager to develop their skills within the roofing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive tenders for roofing projects
*

Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to help compile cost estimates
*

Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations
*

Help prepare and submit tender documentation to deadlines
*

Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers
*

Develop a strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction processes

Requirements:

*

Some experience in an estimating roofing role
*

Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
*

Confident using Microsoft Excel and other office software
*

Eager to learn, with a proactive and positive attitude
*

Excellent communication and organisational skills
