Assistant Mechanical Estimator

Our client is seeking an Assistant Mechanical Estimator to join their team and play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive, and timely project estimates.

About the Role:
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for a range of heating and plumbing projects. You will work closely with the project management and engineering teams to ensure estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed mechanical and plumbing estimates for commercial and residential projects
*

Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents to produce accurate costings
*

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
*

Collaborate with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities
*

Ensure all estimates are completed on time and meet company standards

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the heating, plumbing, or building services sector
*

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, and associated materials
*

Excellent analytical, numerical, and organizational skills
*

Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite
*

Strong communication and negotiation skills
