Estimator - Planned Maintenance

Location: Warrington, North West

Salary: £55,000 + comprehensive package

Your new company

Our client is a long-established national property services contractor delivering large-scale planned maintenance, refurbishment, and compliance works across social housing, public sector, and commercial portfolios. Operating through multiple regional offices, they provide multi-discipline building services including painting, roofing, fire protection, and energy retrofit solutions. With a strong commitment to training, sustainability, and service quality, they continue to invest in their people and processes to support steady growth across the UK.

Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their busy North West commercial team based in Warrington. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing new work within the planned maintenance and refurbishment sector, producing accurate, competitive tenders and supporting the operational team through pre-construction stages. You will be joining a forward-thinking contractor with a strong pipeline of public sector frameworks and long-term partnership contracts.

Responsibilities will include:

*

Preparing detailed cost estimates for planned maintenance, refurbishment, and reactive works projects.
*

Taking off quantities, reviewing specifications, and interpreting drawings to produce accurate pricing submissions.
*

Using Causeway estimating software and advanced Excel spreadsheets to build cost models and analyse tender returns.
*

Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure cost accuracy.
*

Working closely with the commercial and operational teams to ensure tenders are aligned with delivery capability.
*

Attending tender review meetings, contributing to bid presentations, and supporting post-tender negotiations.
*

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market rates, materials, and labour costs across the property services sector.
*

Supporting the development of standard pricing libraries and continuous improvement in estimating processes.

What you will need to succeed:

*

Proven experience as an Estimator within planned maintenance, refurbishment, or property services.
*

Advanced proficiency with Causeway and Excel, including data analysis, formula building, and cost modelling.
*

Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret specifications and tender documents.
*

Excellent written and numerical accuracy with strong attention to detail.
*

Effective communication and negotiation skills with clients and supply chain partners.
*

Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.
*

A positive, collaborative approach and a desire to develop within a reputable, forward-thinking contractor.

What you get in return:

In return, you'll join a progressive and well-structured business that values its employees and promotes long-term career development. You'll receive a competitive salary of £55,000 plus package, ongoing professional training, and the opportunity to work on diverse and high-profile framework projects. The company offers a supportive culture, hybrid working flexibility where applicable, and a focus on work-life balance - making this an excellent environment for ambitious estimators looking to advance their careers in the property maintenance sector.
