Design Manager - Roofing and Cladding

Our client, a well-established specialist within the building envelope sector, is looking to appoint a Design Manager to strengthen their technical team

As a Design Manager, you will take full ownership of all design-related activity across multiple live projects. You'll ensure drawings, details, and revisions are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with project requirements and manufacturer standards.

You will work closely with the draughtsmen to maintain smooth workflow across the department, supporting precise take-offs, checking that the correct drawings are issued, and ensuring revision control is managed effectively throughout each project.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and coordinating the design process across several concurrent projects.

Working collaboratively with draughtsmen and wider project stakeholders to maintain alignment and clarity.
*

Ensuring all design work and revisions meet project specifications and reflect the most up-to-date manufacturer installation guidelines.
*

Reviewing drawings to confirm accurate take-offs and full compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
*

Managing all design revisions and ensuring all updated documentation is issued promptly.
*

Acting as the primary point of contact for all design queries, both internally and externally.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a design management or design role within roofing and cladding (industry experience essential).
*

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
*

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively within a fast-paced environment.
*

Confident communicator with strong leadership qualities and the ability to guide, support, and develop other team members.
