Engineering Manager

Our client, a well-established civils and groundworks contractor based in the North West, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their senior delivery team.

The Role:

* Lead and manage site and project engineers across multiple civils and groundworks schemes
* Oversee setting-out, quality assurance, and technical compliance
* Review drawings, specifications, and methodologies, identifying and resolving technical issues
* Ensure engineering standards, procedures, and best practice are maintained across projects
* Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, and Directors to support successful project delivery
* Manage surveys, temporary works coordination, and subcontract engineering input where required
* Mentor and develop junior engineers within the business

About You:

* Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer role within civils and groundworks
* Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, drainage, roads, and infrastructure
* Experience managing engineering teams on live construction sites
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
* Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
