The Role

Due to continued growth, an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to support the commercial delivery of multiple residential groundworks schemes across the region. This is a key role within the commercial team, offering autonomy, progression, and involvement in large-scale housing developments from inception through to final account.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

Managing the full commercial lifecycle of housing groundworks projects
*

Preparation, submission, and agreement of valuations and final accounts
*

Cost control, forecasting, and reporting to senior management
*

Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
*

Identifying and managing variations and commercial risks
*

Supporting junior commercial staff where required
*

Maintaining strong relationships with clients, site teams, and supply chain

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within housing groundworks or civil engineering
*

Strong knowledge of residential infrastructure packages (roads, sewers, drainage, foundations)
*

Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
*

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
*

Confident communication and negotiation skills
*

A proactive, solutions-focused approach
*

Relevant construction or commercial qualification (or equivalent experience)
