Project Manager / Contracts Manager

Location: Greater Manchester (Nationwide projects)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

I am currently recruiting for an established and growing building envelope contractor delivering industrial and commercial roofing and cladding projects across the UK.

Due to continued expansion and a strong forward order book, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager / Contracts Manager to oversee projects nationwide from their Greater Manchester base.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for the management and delivery of multiple roofing and cladding contracts from award through to completion. This role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness and the ability to manage both site teams and client relationships effectively.

Projects are delivered nationwide, with travel required.

Key Responsibilities

Project and Commercial Management

*

Manage multiple live projects simultaneously
*

Oversee programmes, budgets, procurement and subcontractors
*

Administer contracts, manage variations and control costs
*

Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
*

Provide regular progress and financial reporting

Technical Oversight

Projects include a range of industrial and commercial systems such as:

*

Single skin roofing and cladding
*

Composite panel systems
*

Built-up roofing systems
*

Membrane roofing systems
*

Rainscreen façade systems
*

Fabrication and installation of bespoke flashings

Client and Site Coordination

*

Act as the main point of contact for clients and consultants
*

Chair and attend site meetings
*

Coordinate site teams to ensure quality and programme compliance

Health and Safety

*

Ensure full compliance with current Handamp;S legislation
*

Promote safe systems of work across all sites

About You

Essential:

*

Experience in a Project Manager or Contracts Manager role within roofing, cladding, façade or building envelope sectors
*

Strong understanding of industrial and commercial roofing systems
*

Proven ability to manage multiple contracts
*

Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
*

Strong leadership and communication skills

*

SMSTS and CSCS
