Salary: £26,000 - £35,000 Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

We are currently working in partnership with a well-established and growing construction business to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for their team based in Hurstwood, Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company delivering high-end residential and commercial projects, including luxury developments valued at £1 million+, often for high-profile clients.

The Opportunity

This role is ideally suited to someone at the early stages of their Quantity Surveying career who is looking to develop within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. You'll gain hands-on experience across prestigious projects while working closely with an experienced commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting with cost planning, estimates, and budgeting
* Supporting the commercial management of projects from inception through to completion
* Assisting with procurement and subcontractor packages
* Monitoring costs, variations, and project financial performance
* Supporting valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
* Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Assisting with reporting and commercial analysis
* Helping ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

What We're Looking For

* Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* Early career experience (including placements or up to around 1-2 years in a similar role)
* Strong numerical and analytical ability
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* A motivated individual keen to learn, develop, and grow within a business long-term
