We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation within the construction sector for an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Sales Ledger professional to join a busy finance team. You will play a key role in managing the sales ledger function and supporting the company's cash flow and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing the full sales ledger process
* Raising and issuing invoices accurately and promptly
* Monitoring customer accounts and ensuring timely payments
* Proactively chasing outstanding debt and reducing aged debt
* Allocating incoming payments and reconciling accounts
* Investigating and resolving invoice queries
* Producing aged debtor reports and supporting financial reporting
* Liaising with internal departments and external clients
* Supporting month-end processes where required

Requirements

* Previous experience in a Sales Ledger or Accounts Receivable role
* Essential: Experience within the construction industry
* Strong working knowledge of invoicing, reconciliations, and credit control
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships
* Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
* Good IT skills, including Excel and accounting systems
