Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in overhead lines and substations to join their team in Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially-focused professional to contribute to high-profile energy infrastructure projects.

Role Overview:
As an SQS, you will be responsible for the commercial management of complex energy projects, including:

* Preparing and monitoring cost plans, budgets, and forecasts
* Managing subcontractor and supplier contracts
* Conducting value engineering and risk assessments
* Overseeing claims, variations, and change management
* Providing commercial guidance to project teams and senior stakeholders

Candidate Requirements:

* Extensive experience in overhead line and substation projects
* Strong knowledge of commercial and contract management, ideally NEC contracts
* Proven track record of managing project costs and delivering commercial solutions
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work effectively on-site and remotely as required
