The Role
We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team and lead the estimation process for a variety of general contracting projects. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for providing accurate, competitive, and commercially sound estimates, supporting the pre-construction team, and contributing to successful project wins.

As Senior Estimator - General Contracting, you will be responsible for:

* Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and educational projects
* Analysing tender documents, drawings, and specifications to produce competitive bids
* Managing subcontractor enquiries, quotations, and supplier pricing
* Collaborating with the design and commercial teams to assess risk and value engineering opportunities
* Presenting and explaining estimates to clients and internal stakeholders
* Continuously reviewing and improving estimation processes and tools

The Ideal Candidate
The successful Senior Estimator will have:

* Significant experience in general contracting, preferably within commercial, industrial, or education sectors
* Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
* Proven experience preparing detailed tenders and estimates
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* A proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Relevant professional qualifications (MRICS or equivalent) desirable but not essential
