If you have strong experience in PMO leadership, project controls, governance, and programme‑level planning, this role offers high impact and excellent visibility.

* Establishing project controls, reporting dashboards, and performance metrics
* Supporting senior leadership with programme planning, risk management, and portfolio prioritisation
* Developing standardised documentation, templates, and best‑practice guides
* Overseeing scheduling, cost tracking, risk, and change control
* Introducing tools, systems, and processes to support efficient delivery
* Building and mentoring a growing PMO team as the function expands
* Acting as a strategic partner to Programme Directors and Heads of Function

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with candidates who have experience setting up or significantly developing PMO functions within complex, project‑driven industries such as energy, utilities, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing or defence.

Essential Skills andamp; Experience:

* Significant experience in PMO leadership roles
* Strong understanding of governance, reporting, project controls, and assurance
* Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate clearly at all levels
* Experience designing PMO processes from scratch
* A mix of strategic thinking and hands‑on implementation capability

Desirable:

* Experience in energy, utilities, or regulated infrastructure
* Background in Planning, Project Controls, or Project Management
* Familiarity with PMO tools and digital reporting platforms

Why This Role?

* Opportunity to build a PMO function from the ground up
* High‑profile role with visibility at senior leadership level
* Major UK energy programme with long-term funding and stability
* Flexible salary package depending on experience
* Genuine opportunity to grow and lead a team
