Head of Projects

A well established Commercial Fit Out Contractor is looking to appoint a Head of Projects to oversee their Operational teams.

This is a high-impact leadership role with full accountability for project performance, team output, and profitability. You'll oversee multiple live projects, lead a team of Project Managers, making sure every project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required standard



The Role

You'll take ownership of the entire project lifecycle - from design through to completion ensuring strong commercial and operational performance across all projects.

Key Responsibilities



Leadership andamp; Delivery

Lead and develop the Operational teams
*

Allocate projects and manage resource across multiple live jobs
*

Act as senior point of contact for clients and stakeholders
*

Oversee delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards



Commercial Performance

*

Own project profitability across all live work
*

Review costs, valuations, and forecasts on a weekly basis
*

Identify risks early and take action to protect margin
*

Support pre-construction with pricing and delivery input



Operational Oversight

*

Maintain clear reporting across all projects
*

Track performance across time, cost, and quality
*

Plan future resource requirements across delivery teams



Health andamp; Safety

*

Ensure full compliance across all sites
*

Drive a strong, proactive safety culture



What We're Looking For

Proven track record delivering commercial fit-out projects
*

Experience leading and managing Project Managers or delivery teams
*

Strong commercial awareness - confident managing cost, margin, and risk
*

Able to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
*

Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects
*

Strong client-facing and communication skills
