Site Manager

An established main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the internal works package on a major Build to Rent residential development in Manchester.

This is a key site-based role, overseeing the delivery of high-quality apartment interiors within a fast-paced, multi-storey new build environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing all internal fit-out activities from first fix through to final handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a consistently high standard.

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage sequencing, and maintain strict quality control throughout the internal packages.

Key Responsibilities

* Day-to-day management of internal
* Coordination and supervision of subcontractors on site
* Driving programme performance and maintaining key milestones
* Ensuring high standards of health andamp; safety compliance at all times
* Managing quality control, inspections, and snagging processes
* Resolving on-site issues and coordinating trade interfaces
* Supporting handover processes and achieving defect-free delivery
* Reporting progress, risks, and site updates to senior management

About You

* Strong background in internal packages and apartment fit-out delivery
* Confident managing subcontractors and fast-moving programmes
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and valid First Aid certification
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality finishes
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain programme targets
