Compliance Surveyor
We are currently partnering with a leading Housing Association to appoint a Compliance Surveyor (Electrical) on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking compliance team responsible for ensuring a large residential portfolio meets all statutory, regulatory and corporate standards.

The Role

Acting as both a technical expert and customer-facing representative, you will play a key role in delivering assurance across electrical compliance programmes. This includes auditing servicing and maintenance activities, advising on electrical installations, and driving quality improvement across both existing homes and new developments.

Working within a collaborative, process-led environment, you will support the delivery of safe, compliant, and value-for-money services across a diverse housing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver robust compliance assurance through quality auditing and inspections across electrical workstreams
* Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to ensure works meet legislative, safety and quality standards
* Undertake a mix of intrusive inspections, work-in-progress checks, and visual risk assessments
* Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to specifications, safety practices, and service expectations
* Support the implementation of effective quality assurance systems, identifying trends and areas for improvement
* Provide technical expertise on mechanical and electrical installations across existing properties and new builds
* Review financial submissions to ensure accuracy prior to payment approval
* Assist in delivering internal and external audits and embedding improvement actions
* Maintain accurate inspection records using relevant IT systems
* Contribute to operational planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and risk management strategies

About You

We are seeking a motivated and technically capable individual with a strong background in social housing compliance and electrical systems.

You will have:

* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (18th Edition)
* Experience within social housing, compliance auditing, or maintenance environments
* Strong understanding of construction legislation, regulatory frameworks, and ISO standards
* Proven ability to manage contractors and maintain high levels of quality and safety
* A proactive, analytical approach with a focus on continuous improvement
* IOSH Working Safely (or willingness to achieve)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use

What's on Offer

* Opportunity to secure a permanent role within a highly regarded organisation
* Exposure to a diverse and impactful housing portfolio
* A collaborative environment that values innovation, quality, and customer outcomes
* Ongoing professional development and training

If you're an experienced compliance professional looking to play a key role in improving safety and quality standards across housing services, we'd love to hear from you.
