It offers the opportunity to take ownership of a growing regional function while helping shape the future direction of the business.

As the Southern Region Commercial Lead, the successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of projects and programmes, ensuring consistent commercial excellence, strong governance and successful project outcomes across multiple clients.

Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, this position carries responsibility for commercial service delivery, regional growth, financial performance, team leadership and strategic business development.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and develop the client's expanding Commercial team across the Southern region.
* Provide commercial leadership across major Energy, Utilities and Infrastructure programmes from project inception through to final account.
* Act as the senior commercial and NEC adviser to clients and key stakeholders.
* Provide expert guidance across NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
* Establish and maintain robust commercial governance processes to support successful programme delivery.
* Oversee valuations, forecasting, reporting, compensation events, claims, change management and final accounts.
* Provide strategic commercial leadership on complex or high-value issues requiring senior intervention.
* Mentor, coach and develop commercial professionals across multiple projects and commissions.
* Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, providing commercial insight and strategic advice.
* Work closely with the senior leadership team to support the continued development of the Commercial Management service.
* Lead business development activities across the South, including bids, proposals and client presentations, while supporting opportunities nationally where appropriate.
* Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practice and lessons learned across the commercial function.
* Recruit, develop and retain high-performing commercial professionals to support future growth.
* Develop and deliver the strategy for expanding Commercial Services across the Southern region.

* A Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
* MRICS status or an equivalent professional qualification.
* Excellent commercial awareness combined with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach.
