Our client is a leading specialist access contractor providing innovative access solutions to the construction and industrial sectors across the UK. Offering a fully integrated service across scaffolding, mast climbing work platforms, and construction hoists, the business works closely with clients from initial design and planning through to installation and ongoing support. Their commitment to safety, quality, and technical excellence has resulted in long-standing relationships with many of the UK's leading contractors and developers. Continued growth has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role

As Estimator / Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

Preparing accurate and competitive estimates for scaffolding and specialist access projects
*

Managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender through to final account
*

Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
*

Producing detailed take-offs, cost plans, and pricing schedules
*

Obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
*

Preparing applications for payment, valuations, variations, and final accounts
*

Monitoring project costs and producing regular commercial reports
*

Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities
*

Supporting contract negotiations and subcontract procurement
*

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and operational teams
*

Supporting project handovers and ensuring a smooth transition from pre-construction to delivery

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Estimator / Quantity Surveyor will have:

*

Previous experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or in a dual commercial role within the construction industry
*

Experience within scaffolding, access solutions, specialist subcontracting, or the wider construction sector would be highly advantageous
*

Strong commercial awareness and estimating ability
*

Experience managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
*

Excellent negotiation and communication skills
*

Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
*

Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills
*

A proactive, organised, and commercially focused approach
*

Full UK Driving Licence
