Working across a range of commercial sectors, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget, while developing long-term relationships with clients through excellent service and attention to detail. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their commercial team in Altrincham.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will be responsible for:

Preparing competitive estimates and tender submissions for commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
*

Producing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans from drawings and specifications
*

Procuring subcontractors and obtaining competitive supplier quotations
*

Managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender stage through to final account
*

Preparing interim valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts
*

Producing CVRs, cost reports, and commercial forecasts
*

Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities
*

Working closely with Directors, Project Managers, and Site Teams to ensure successful project delivery
*

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
*

Supporting successful project handovers from pre-construction into delivery

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Quantity Surveyor / Estimator will have:

*

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or in a combined QS/Estimator role within the construction industry
*

Experience within commercial fit-out, refurbishment, design andamp; build, or specialist contracting
*

Strong commercial awareness and estimating ability
*

Experience preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
*

Excellent understanding of construction methods, procurement, and cost control
*

Good knowledge of JCT contracts
*

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
*

Excellent Microsoft Excel and IT skills
*

A proactive and commercially focused approach
*

Full UK Driving Licence
