Project Coordinator

Our client is a well-established consultancy delivering expert project management, commercial and advisory services across the UK's infrastructure, energy, utilities and regeneration sectors. They partner with major organisations to deliver complex, high-value programmes, providing technical expertise and commercial support from project inception through to completion.

They are currently looking to appoint a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of a major power and energy programme based near Wirral. Working as part of a collaborative project team, you'll play a key role in coordinating project activities, supporting programme delivery and ensuring projects progress efficiently within a regulated environment.

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with 3-4 years' project coordination or project support experience who has worked within the Energy, Nuclear, Utilities or Rail sectors and is looking to take the next step in their career. You'll gain further exposure to major infrastructure programmes, NEC contracts and structured project delivery frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate and support the delivery of multiple project workstreams.
* Assist with the administration of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including early warnings, compensation events and project documentation.
* Support project cost control, forecasting and risk management activities.
* Work closely with internal teams, contractors and client stakeholders to ensure projects remain on track.
* Produce project reports, dashboards and presentations for programme reviews.
* Support project governance, programme controls and performance reporting.
* Ensure compliance with client procedures, quality standards and Health andamp; Safety requirements.
* Assist in identifying and resolving project issues to support successful delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

* Around 3-4 years' experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Support or similar role.
* Previous experience working within the Energy, Nuclear, Utilities or Rail sectors (essential).
* A good understanding of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts, or practical experience working within an NEC environment.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Commercial awareness, including exposure to project costs, budgets or financial reporting.
* Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across project teams and stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Desirable Qualifications

* Degree qualified in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
* Working towards or holding a professional qualification such as APM, PMI or RICS would be advantageous but is not essential.
