About the Company

Our client is a well-established specialist contractor operating within the roofing, cladding and building envelope sector. With an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality new build and refurbishment projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and retail sectors, they are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager to support the successful delivery of projects across London and the surrounding areas.

The Role

We are recruiting for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to support the day-to-day management of roofing, cladding and façade projects.

Working closely with the Site Manager and Contracts Manager, you will assist in coordinating site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the building envelope industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of roofing, cladding and building envelope projects.
* Assist in supervising subcontractors and site operatives to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
* Monitor project progress and help ensure works are delivered in line with programme.
* Promote and maintain high Health andamp; Safety standards on site.
* Assist with coordinating labour, materials, plant and deliveries.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.
* Carry out site inspections and quality checks to ensure works meet specification.
* Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, RAMS, permits and progress reports.
* Attend site meetings and provide updates to the Site Manager and Contracts Manager.
* Assist with snagging, quality assurance and project handovers.
* Proactively identify and resolve site issues to support smooth project delivery.

Candidate Requirements

* Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Senior Installer within roofing, cladding, façade or the building envelope sector.
* Good understanding of rainscreen cladding, composite panels, industrial roofing or external envelope systems.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a site management team.
* Good understanding of Health andamp; Safety legislation and site compliance.
* Keen to progress and develop a long-term career within site management.
* Competent using Microsoft Office packages.

Essential Qualifications

* SMSTS or SSSTS (SMSTS desirable)
* CSCS Card
* First Aid at Work (or willingness to obtain)
* Full UK Driving Licence
