A leading fit out contractor require an experienced Site Manager for a 4-month freelance contract to deliver a CAT B office fit out project in Manchester city centre.

This role requires a hands-on Site Manager with a proven track record of delivering high-quality commercial fit out projects. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining programme, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme.
* Drive programme performance and proactively resolve site issues to minimise delays.
* Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and housekeeping.
* Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections.
* Liaise effectively with the Project Manager, client representatives, consultants, and subcontractors.
* Manage site logistics, deliveries, and the coordination of multiple trades.
* Complete daily site records, progress reports, and project documentation using Procure.

Candidate Requirements

* Previous experience managing office fit out and refurbishment projects for a main contractor.
* Strong understanding of commercial fit out programmes and project sequencing.
* Experience of temporary works and a sound knowledge of temporary works procedures.
* Competent user of Procure.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage fast-paced projects while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
