Graduate Design Manager

A well-established building contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-rise residential developments is looking to appoint a Graduate Design Manager to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to build a career in design management while working on complex, residential schemes from pre-construction through to completion. You'll work alongside experienced Design Managers, gaining exposure to every stage of the design process while developing the technical and commercial skills needed for a long-term career in construction.

The Role

As a Graduate Design Manager, you'll support the coordination and management of design information across live residential projects, working closely with architects, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to help ensure designs are delivered on programme and meet quality and compliance requirements.

This role offers genuine hands-on experience, giving you the opportunity to learn how major residential developments are designed, coordinated and delivered.

Responsibilities

* Assist with coordinating design information from consultants and specialist subcontractors.
* Support the management of design programmes and drawing schedules.
* Attend design team meetings and record actions.
* Help resolve design queries during pre-construction and site delivery.
* Liaise with site teams to ensure the latest design information is available when required.
* Monitor drawing revisions and maintain document control processes.
* Gain exposure to Building Regulations, planning requirements and design compliance on high-rise residential projects.

About You

* Degree in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, Building Surveying or a related construction discipline.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* An interest in design coordination and technical project delivery.
* Ability to work collaboratively with consultants and site teams.
