Site Manager - Bingo Hall Fit-Out

Location: Sunderland
Start Date: November 2026
Duration: Approximately 18 weeks
Rate: £300 per day
Preference: Ideally based locally in Sunderland or the surrounding area

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a bingo hall fit-out project in Sunderland, commencing in November 2026 and running for approximately 18 weeks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors and trades, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager with a strong fit-out background, ideally with experience working on commercial interiors, leisure facilities or similar refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day running of the site throughout the fit-out programme.
*

Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site personnel to ensure works are completed efficiently.
*

Monitor project progress against the programme and address any delays or issues.
*

Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, maintaining a safe working environment.
*

Carry out regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained.
*

Liaise with the client, main contractor, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
*

Manage site logistics, deliveries, materials and access arrangements.
*

Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
*

Ensure works are completed in line with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
*

Maintain site records, RAMS, permits and relevant health and safety documentation.

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects.
*

Strong subcontractor management and site coordination skills.
*

Good understanding of health and safety requirements and site documentation.
*

Ability to manage programmes, maintain quality and resolve site issues effectively.
*

Strong communication and organisational skills.
*

Relevant site management qualifications, including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid, are desirable or required in line with project requirements.
*

Ideally based in Sunderland or within a commutable distance.
