Site Manager - Drylining and Interior Fit-Out

Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Rate: £280-£300 per day
Duration: Contract

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong drylining background to oversee the day-to-day delivery of a construction project in Mansfield, working on behalf of an established specialist interiors and construction contractor.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the overall running of the site, managing and coordinating subcontractors and trades, monitoring progress and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Previous hands-on or extensive site management experience within drylining and interior fit-out is essential. Candidates must have a good technical understanding of drylining systems and the ability to manage trades effectively throughout the installation process.

The contractor specialises in internal construction packages, including ceilings and partitions, drylining, plastering, SFS, rendering and glazed partitioning.

Key Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and running of the site.
*

Supervise and coordinate drylining subcontractors, trades and site operatives.
*

Manage the installation and progress of drylining, partitioning, ceilings and associated interior packages.
*

Coordinate labour, materials, deliveries and subcontractor activities.
*

Ensure works are progressing in line with the agreed construction programme.
*

Monitor workmanship and ensure all installations meet the required quality standards.
*

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and site procedures.
*

Carry out regular site inspections and monitor progress against project milestones.
*

Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives.
*

Identify and resolve site-based issues, ensuring minimal disruption to progress.
*

Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and relevant health and safety documentation.
*

Oversee snagging activities and ensure works are completed to the required standard.

Candidate Requirements

*

Proven experience working as a Site Manager within construction, drylining or interior fit-out.
*

Strong drylining experience is essential, with a good technical understanding of drylining systems, metal stud partitions, plasterboarding and associated works.
*

Previous experience managing drylining contractors and coordinating multiple trades on site.
*

Good understanding of construction sequencing, programme management and site logistics.
*

Ability to drive programme, maintain quality and resolve site issues effectively.
*

Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements and site compliance.
*

Confident communicator with the ability to manage site teams and liaise with project stakeholders.
*

SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred.
