Empowering Reintegration and Workforce Inclusion through Skilled Recruitment

The partnership

For several years, Building Careers has focussed on outreach projects and reaching out to disadvantaged people – candidates from all backgrounds – with the sole aim of presenting a job opportunity that could change their lives.

Building Careers, through the work of our Trades and Labour Manager, Joanne Fisher, has collaborated closely with Liverpool City Council, contributing to initiatives aimed at facilitating the successful reintegration of individuals released from prison and supporting those from disadvantaged and challenging backgrounds.

It can be difficult and very emotional work for our team, but it’s work we absolutely value. In fact it’s one of the most rewarding aspects of our job.

Engagement With Liverpool City Council

As a business working closely within the Liverpool City Region, we know and realise the power of strong relationships with stakeholders from Liverpool City Council. Over time we have established a brilliant partnership which has resulted in a number of significant wins and job opportunities for some people who found it hard to bounce back into employment following a jail term.

Collaboration With Nobody Left Behind

Through a shared commitment to support care leavers, especially those working with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Building Careers has forged a strong and long lasting relationship with the organisation.

Partnership With Grahams Construction

As a recruitment company, we’ve decided to team up with a contractor that cares about inclusion. Grahams Construction is an organisation that does just that. Through its Create initiative, we work hand-in-hand with Grahams’ Social Value and Site Team, to provide training and employment prospects for ten individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.

in their own words
“Our work extends beyond recruitment; it's about changing lives and offering second chances. Every placement is an opportunity for transformation."
