About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company operating in Yorkshire. This role offers the chance to take the lead on a range of high-value construction projects, ensuring commercial success through effective cost management, contract administration, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying for multiple construction projects, from inception to completion.
* Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring best practices and professional development.
* Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures to optimize financial performance.
* Negotiate contracts and procurement strategies with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
* Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.
* Work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive project success.

Requirements:

* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector.
* Proven track record of leading commercial teams and managing high-value projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT/NEC).
* Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
* Full UK driving license required.
