Project Engineer - Residential Development (North West)

Location: North West

I am currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer with a leading house builder in the North West.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee a large residential development project from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality work is consistently delivered and progress is effectively communicated to relevant teams.
* Manage projects within set timeframes and budgets, while maintaining strict attention to detail.
* Provide input and approval on civil and groundworks scopes, Bandamp;Qs, and contractual clauses/conditions.
* Maintain accurate daily records of work completed.
* Control design variations and manage them against budget and contract requirements.
* Challenge and manage commercial variations to ensure alignment with the contract and budget.
* Ensure compliance with approved designs throughout the project.
* Secure road construction consents and water authority approvals in line with the development plan.
* Coordinate and communicate spoil strategies and variations as needed.
* Ensure adherence to all company health and safety standards.
* Meet target dates for all project stages and milestones.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, local authorities, architects, quantity surveyors, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* Assist in the appointment and coordination of utility services and diversions for the development.
* Attend client project meetings and chair PFS project meetings, keeping accurate minutes.

Essential Requirements:

* Qualified Civil Engineer or Civil Engineering Technician with a strong understanding of civil engineering techniques and residential development processes.
* Come from an engineering background.
* Knowledgeable in statutory requirements and procedures to start and complete developments.
* Highly organized with the ability to make timely decisions and move projects forward.
* Computer literate, with experience in AutoCAD (viewing CAD files at a minimum).
* Strong communication and coordination skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
