Job Title: Senior Estimator

About the Role

An established and reputable construction company is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the company's pre-construction phase, contributing to the successful delivery of residential and commercial projects across North Wales and the North West. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, and pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

*Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
*Analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to develop comprehensive estimates.
*Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and cost breakdowns.
*Develop tender strategies and submission documentation.
*Assess risk factors and ensure cost controls are in place.
*Work closely with the commercial and project management teams to ensure budget alignment.
*Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
*Maintain a database of cost information for reference in future projects.

Key Requirements

*Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
*Proven experience in an Estimator or Senior Estimator role within the construction industry.
*Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing.
*Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
*Ability to assess tender documents and identify key cost implications.
*Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
*Strong negotiation and communication skills.
*Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
