Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a well-established and respected specialist contractor, delivering high-quality projects across the North West.

With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to quality craftsmanship, they work on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial developments.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

The Role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting our commercial team with the financial and contractual aspects of our projects.

You will gain hands-on experience working alongside senior professionals, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates and tender documents.
* Conduct site visits to assess progress and measure work completed.
* Monitor project costs, variations, and valuations.
* Assist in preparing and submitting applications for payment.
* Support in managing subcontractor accounts and payments.
* Analyse project risks and suggest cost-saving strategies.
* Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and project costs.
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.

What We're Looking For:

* Previous experience in a quantity surveying or commercial role within the construction industry
* Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors.
* A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a drive to develop a successful career in quantity surveying.
