Estimator

Our client, a well-established roofing contractor based in the North West, is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team.

Known for delivering high-quality roofing solutions across commercial and residential projects, they are looking for a professional who can bring accuracy, efficiency, and a strong understanding of the construction process to their growing operations.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotes for a range of roofing projects, including flat and pitched roofing systems as well as bespoke architectural finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications to compile cost estimates
* Carry out material take-offs and create detailed bills of quantities
* Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
* Collaborate closely with project and commercial teams to ensure accurate budgeting and profitability
* Attend relevant pre- and post-tender meetings as required

Candidate Requirements:

* Proven experience in a similar estimating role within roofing or general construction
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Familiarity with estimation and take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel, or similar)
* A good understanding of roofing systems, materials, and installation processes
