Your new role
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to support the estimating function by preparing accurate and competitive bids for mechanical installations on diverse and often multi-million-pound projects. Based in Liverpool, you will play a key role in identifying costs and contributing to successful tender submissions that support the company's commercial success.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing and compiling mechanical estimates from initial enquiry to final submission
*

Analysing project drawings, specifications, and technical documents
*

Researching and sourcing accurate material, labour, and equipment costs
*

Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure robust pricing and technical compliance
*

Supporting negotiations with clients and subcontractors as required
*

Attending post-tender meetings and assisting with bid presentations
*

Providing input and support to junior members of the estimating team
*

Keeping updated with market trends and cost fluctuations

What you will need to succeed:

A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline
*

Previous experience in a mechanical estimating role within the construction or Mandamp;E sector
*

Good understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and tendering processes
*

Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office
*

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to pricing
*

Clear and confident communication skills
*

Right to work in the UK
*

Ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS check if required
