Your new role

Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their expanding team in Cheshire. This is a pivotal role that will involve both pre-contract estimating and post-contract quantity surveying on fast-paced commercial fit-out projects. You will work closely with the operations and design teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, from tender stage through to final account.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing and submitting competitive tenders and cost plans for CAT A andamp; CAT B office fit-out projects
*

Assessing drawings, specifications, and technical documents to identify risks and opportunities
*

Managing project budgets, valuations, variations, and final accounts
*

Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management
*

Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
*

Supporting the commercial and delivery teams throughout the life cycle of each project
*

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring financial control of projects
*

Conducting site visits and attending project meetings as required

What you will need to succeed:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor and/or Estimator within the commercial fit-out sector
*

Strong knowledge of CAT A andamp; CAT B fit-out processes and project lifecycles
*

Excellent commercial acumen and a proactive, detail-oriented approach
*

Confident in producing BOQs, cost plans, and valuations
*

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
*

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
*

Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites when needed
