About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Electrical to lead and develop the electrical division of a leading construction and fit-out firm. Operating across commercial, education, healthcare, and leisure sectors, this role will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across all electrical projects.

This is a senior leadership role ideal for a highly motivated individual with a strong technical background and proven management capabilities. You will shape the direction of the electrical department, drive performance, and ensure delivery excellence across all projects.



Key Responsibilities:

* Provide strategic leadership and direction for the electrical division, overseeing all live projects and future planning.
* Lead and mentor electrical project teams, contract managers, and site operatives.
* Establish and enforce technical standards, health andamp; safety protocols, and operational best practices.
* Collaborate with directors and senior stakeholders to align electrical operations with wider business objectives.
* Oversee the development and implementation of electrical design, procurement, and delivery strategies.
* Support business development activities, including client meetings, bids, and tenders.
* Ensure all electrical works are compliant with industry regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
* Monitor project and departmental KPIs, ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective project delivery.
* Drive innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement across electrical services.



Qualifications and Experience:

* Extensive experience in a senior electrical leadership role within the construction or building services sector.
* Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services).
* Chartered status or membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IET) is desirable.
* ECS/CSCS card and SMSTS or equivalent safety accreditation (preferred).
* Demonstrable experience in managing large teams and multiple complex projects simultaneously.
* Strong commercial acumen, client-facing skills, and technical leadership.
